Best Shotgun Microphones What Is The Best Microphone For A Narrative Film Shot On Video?

What is the best microphone for a narrative film shot on video? - best shotgun microphones

This is a shot very low budget horror movie on a Sony PD 150th I have a good directional microphone. I have used in conjunction with a low, but there's not much action in this case (it is to grow and make a noise). I have two RE-50 microphone in hand, but I'm not sure that there will be nothing. I wonder if a kidney on the right path for a second microphone, and if so, how? If too expensive, a problem that the plan on renting, if you can not buy.

I think you have the right microphones, only the question of how to use them. It's definitely an art micing for the camera, and it helps to have someone who you have leaders.
First, you have your weapon. I assume you use an agency, otherwise be sure to get it. Shotguns are hypercardioid, which means that we reject the sound from all directions, except that which immediately followed. Make sure you have made a good solid session, connect the microphone pole, while reducing the suspension vibration. Second, a bag is passed the microphone to reduce wind noise. Make sure the band through the microphone cable to the pole never the power while recording, and the basement, the poles of the fingers, turning slightly toward the speaker. If your device meets AudioERS, the volume to the normal noise below the top, red top and louder tones, and give the operator headset (not to the quality of the volume) the sound check.
To use the ground to (or buy) a small store for this go around the capsule and do not touch any kind of tissue or skin. Put it in the trunk of six to eight inches below the mouth.

If you decided to buy a new microphone, what you need to know. Shotguns are hypercardioid sound playback properly andreject from a distance the most frequently used routes to work, has a cardioid response frequency somewhat higher, but accept a wider angle of sound, omnidirectional microphones, his best, but collecting all the sounds from all directions and the best work in the area.

If you have a new microphone to get a hyper cardiode microphone. My recommendation after a long research is the Oktava MK 012th But make the best (if it is outdoors) to get a pole, or make a headset or microphone shotgun to keep as close as possible, while taken out of context. For the internal growth of microorganisms Hyper cardiode. You need a person dedicated solely to the poles, which could be the biggest problem. Good luck.
